Our FUPS (Front Under-run Protection System) devices are made from reinforced, structural grade steel to ensure the strength necessary to pass strict VASS tests. They are designed to upgrade your vehicle to meet the national safety regulations associated with owning specific vehicles. You can read more about these regulations and if they apply to you here.

What are FUPS Devices?
Front Under-run Protection Systems (FUPS) prevent cars from becoming trapped under the front of a truck in the unfortunate event of a collision. They thereby ensure the car’s safety features such as seatbelts, airbags and crumple zones remain fully effective.
Do you require a FUPS product?
Australian Design Rule (ADR) 84/00 will now require FUP systems to be fitted to the front of all new models of heavy vehicles (over 12 tonnes) from January 2011 and to all existing models from January 2012.

Our FUPS Rated (F.R) Bull Bar and Bumper range are tested and certified to make sure your vehicle meets this regulation.
Our FUPS Compatible (F.C) Bull Bar and Bumper range are designed to fit with vehicles that have a separate stock or Whitlock Bull Bars FUPS device and will not affect the FUPS rating of your vehicle.
Our Regular Bull Bar and Bumper range are designed for vehicles under 12 tonnes which do not require a FUPS certified product.

NEW SOUTH WALES–Mike Hannon, the A/Chief Executive of the RTA NSW has issued regulations concerning 26 metre B-Doubles which will remain in force until 30 September 2010. To view the RTA NSW document click here.
We manufacture products that comply with page 2, Clause 3.2 and are also plating in accordance with Clause 3.2.1(b) of these regulations. To gain a full understanding of the Plating Requirements, section 3.2.1(b) must be read in conjunction with Page 4 and 5, (Part 5 Definitions). We comply with all of these except points 5 and 12 which refer to Clause 3.3.
Clause 3.2.1(a) applies only where the truck has a front-underrun incorporated into it at the time of manufacture. The requirement in this case is for a Plate to be fitted in the cab. (Only the truck manufacturer can fit a Plate to the cab. We are authorised only to fit Plates to our own products, and we have no authority to fit or supply Plates for trucks.)
Additionally, where a protrusion, (bull bar or bumper), has been fitted in front of a steel Front Under-run or on a Front Under-run vehicle, an Approved Engineer is the only one with the jurisdiction to plate the protrusion and issue a Vehicle Modification report approving the fitment of a protrusion. This report must be kept in the truck at all times.
